The Australian Hay Mini Nationals Motorkhana is the biggest and most spectacular Motorkhana in Australia. It is held on the Sunday and consists of 6 tests, one being the mystery test*. (announced shortly before the event.)
The entire field will complete 1 attempt at each test, then following a lunch break, will have a second attempt at each test. Their fastest time from each of their attempts is collected for their final result. This is an event that after a full day of competition, can see competitors separated by hundredths of seconds.
However while the pointy end of the field is competing for those hundredths, a little further down is more mates competing for their own personal victories. Better their time from last year, grab a class trophy, even finish on "the front page". There is also a raft of juniors as young as 12 competing for their own personal honours in their age groups. This is an event that has something for everyone!
CALLING ALL OFFICIALS!
As you all know, officials are a big part of the Motorkhana, so in order to keep the day running smoothly, we would just like to remind you that each club will need to supply some officials. We will need to have a minimum of 3 officials per lane. If you can supply more than that, it would be great, so that they can swap over when needed.
As a thank you to all officials you will be supplied with a lunch voucher that you will receive at the Officials briefing so please be at the Motorkhana grounds for the briefing on the Sunday morning.
